The Fonds d'indemnisation du courtage immobilier works independently of the Association. The chairman and substitute chairman of the Discipline Committee must be lawyers with at least ten years of practice. They must be specialists in the disciplinary law and are responsible for ensuring compliance with proper procedure in each hearing and for ruling on the guilt of the defendant with two other members of the committee, who are real estate brokers or agents.
