Inspection

The role of the OACIQ’s Inspection Committee is to ensure that brokers work in compliance with the rules of the profession. The Committee does this by conducting inspections of licence holders and making appropriate recommendations.

This service is prevention based: the Committee provides the profession with technical support in order to promote continued improvement of working methods and quality professional practices.

The Inspection Committee's primary function is to audit the records, accounts and registers of OACIQ licence holders. If necessary, the Committee may recommend an investigation by the OACIQ's Syndic. It can also require a broker or agency executive officer to attend an education session.
