Before you buy or sell a property, why not take a little time to review the OACIQ’s mandatory and recommended forms used by your broker? They will give you a good idea of the main steps involved in a real estate transaction.

New forms of real estate brokerage

Usable from July 1, 2012

The new forms will come into force soon! Starting July 1, 2012, they must be used for any brokerage contract or any transaction proposal signed from that date.

Here are the versions of the forms for consultation only. These versions are intended to prepare brokers for the use of official forms and to enable the public to have a look at them. However, note that they cannot be used for a transaction.

Procedures and conditions for taking the new OACIQ examinations

The OACIQ would like to inform candidates interested in taking one of the new examinations of the procedure to follow to do so.

Mandatory continuing education activity on the new Act: We promised you details, here they are!

In the special InfoLetter issued April 14 announcing the coming into force of the new Real Estate Brokerage Act on May 1, 2010, we mentioned the possibility of the OACIQ making the continuing education activity on the new Act mandatory for all brokers.

If so, there may be consequences, including refusal to issue a broker’s licence. Better make your candidates aware of this in advance!
