The Fonds d'indemnisation du courtage immobilier works independently of the Association. It is administered by a board composed of seven people appointed by the government, unlike the Association Board for which the majority of directors are elected by members. For purely administrative reasons, the Fund has an agreement with the ACAIQ under which the latter provides certain resources necessary for its operation.
