The OACIQ: Concrete Actions to Protect the Public

Brossard (Québec), February 17, 2014 – The Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) is proud to launch new tools to assist the public in a real estate or mortgage transaction with a broker, in accordance with its mission. Indeed, thanks to a new website, a provincial advertising campaign and a distinctive label, the Organization confirms its leading position in the real estate and mortgage brokerage field in Québec.

The entirely redesigned OACIQ website offers a user-friendly navigation, a refined look, and content tailored to consumer needs. In addition to the benefits of dealing with a broker, you will find a lot of useful information about the main steps of a real estate transaction, as well as all the support provided by the OACIQ.

Provincial advertising campaign: bold and unprecedented

At the same time, the OACIQ, the Québec Federation of Real Estate Boards (QFREB) and real estate boards join forces in a joint advertising campaign with an innovative concept. It’s a great opportunity to make an unprecedented impact on the public, while highlighting the need and benefits of using a broker’s services.

The provincial advertising campaign is an historic event since it’s uniting for the first time all Québec’s real estate partners who share the same desire to inform the public. I take this opportunity to thank them all for this association that allows us to spread a strong and united message”, adds Mr. Nadeau.

The real estate label: symbol of protection

Launched at the same time as the advertising campaign, the real estate label is a genuine seal of competence that confirms the quality of the real estate broker’s profession. Look for the “i”, taken from the OACIQ logo, as an additional trust and protection token for your transaction!

In a nutshell, the aim of these three links of the same chain is to remind the public that the first protection in a transaction is to deal with a real estate or mortgage broker. It is important for the public to be well-informed and feel protected during these complex steps: the OACIQ is committed to always be there to offer its support through, among other things, the skills and supervision of brokers’ work.
