The OACIQ Discipline Committee has revoked Sandra Mercier’s licence

Brossard, May 8, 2019 – Guilt and Sanction
The Discipline Committee of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) has revoked Sandra Mercier's licence following her guilty plea on various counts, including soliciting money loans from clients of Multi-Prêt Hypothèques, borrowing amounts of money from 15 different individuals, the whole on the basis of misrepresentations or for her personal needs, and failing to reimburse them.

"We are pleased that the Discipline Committee has sided with the Syndic's recommendation and ordered an exemplary sanction to protect the public from any similar schemes that may occur," concludes Caroline Champagne, Vice-President, Enforcement of Practices at the OACIQ.
