NOTICE OF IMPOSITION OF RESTRICTIONS AND CONDITIONS
TO THE LICENCE OF CHANDRAN SOLOMON
NOTICE is hereby given that Chandran Solomon, real estate broker, licence No. E7157, whose establishment is located in Montréal, had conditions and restrictions imposed on his licence following a decision by the Licence Issue and Maintenance Committee of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec, pursuant to section 38 (2) of the Real Estate Brokerage Act (R.S.Q., c. C-73.2).
On June 18, 2019, the Licence Issue and Maintenance Committee imposed the following conditions and restrictions to the licence of Chandran Solomon:
a) Within six (6) months following notification of this decision, he shall complete the training entitled “The broker as a self-employed worker”, provided by the Continuing Education Department of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec or an equivalent training accredited by the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec, this in addition to any courses required to meet his continuing education obligations;
b) Within thirty (30) days following notification of this decision, he shall enter into and maintain a written agreement for a period of two (2) years with the agency within which he carries on his activities to the effect that the latter shall hold in trust the GST and QST payable to him, as real estate broker, until such time as it is due to be remitted along with his tax return;
c) Upon filing of the tax return, the agreement shall stipulate that the agency will itself remit these sums to tax authorities;
d) A copy of this agreement shall be forwarded to the OACIQ Registry within thirty (30) days following notification of this decision;
e) In the event of a change of agency during the period indicated in (b) above, he shall enter into an agreement under the same conditions with his new agency and forward a copy of same to the OACIQ Registry within thirty (30) days of the change of agency;
f) He shall forward to the OACIQ Registry a copy of his bankruptcy discharge certificate or other attesting document as soon as it is received.
g) For a period of three (3) years following notification of this decision, Mr. Chandran Solomon shall be prohibited from acting on his own account or from acting as agency executive officer, should he obtain the qualifications to do so.
Should Chandran Solomon fail to comply with the above conditions and restrictions, his right to engage in professional real estate brokerage activities shall be suspended until he meets these conditions.
This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r. 3).
The decision became enforceable on July 27, 2019.
