Creation of an OACIQ advisory committee on commercial brokerage
Through its recent announcement of a review of its governance, the OACIQ has notably expressed its intention to turn the working group on commercial real estate brokerage into a true advisory committee. Therefore, the OACIQ Advisory Committee on Training and Professional Practices in Commercial Brokerage has been created.
The mandate of the new committee is to focus on various issues relating to professional practices in commercial brokerage and make, if necessary, recommendations to ensure that the Organization’s actions are in line with its strategic planning.
Composition
The chairperson of the committee will be the director elected to represent commercial brokerage on the OACIQ Board of Directors.
To carry out its mandate, the committee will have a list of experts, including former members of the working group on commercial brokerage. Based on topics and issues, these experts will be called on to take part in various works of the committee.
A winning choice for all
Through this measure, the OACIQ intends to be able to play its role of supervising practices even more effectively, and to optimally determine training needs for the professionals in this area of activity. By doing so, the Organization also strengthens its governance and reinforces its capacity to carry out its unique public protection mission.
