As part of the ongoing evolution of its practices and with a view to sustainably strengthening the fulfilment of its public protection mission, the OACIQ is rolling out its 2026–2028 strategic plan.

Building on its previous planning cycle, the organization is continuing a structured reflection aimed at consolidating its ways of working, enhancing the coherence of its interventions, and ensuring oversight that is aligned with current realities in real estate brokerage.

Grounded in its role and organizational values, this strategic plan outlines the OACIQ’s orientations with respect to culture, prevention, simplification and innovation, all in support of public protection.

Under the theme United by passion, driven by performance, the plan is structured around four complementary strategic pillars that will guide the OACIQ’s priorities and actions over the next three years.

AREA 1: Fostering autonomy and excellence

The OACIQ is implementing initiatives designed to promote skills development, the adoption of sustainable and reflective practices, and a culture based on sound judgment, responsibility, and rigour among various audiences and throughout the entire organization.

AREA 2: Placing prevention at the heart of public protection

The OACIQ positions prevention as a central pillar of its mission to protect the public. Throughout the buyer and seller process, it aims to promote consultation, dispute prevention and resolution, public awareness, and the engagement of real estate brokers as a preventive measure to reduce the risks associated with a real estate transaction.

AREA 3: Simplifying to better protect

The OACIQ is focusing on streamlining its processes and modernizing its regulatory framework to make them clearer, more consistent, and more accessible, in order to reduce risks, promote compliance, and strengthen public protection over the long term.

AREA 4: Leveraging innovative technologies to promote sound management and enhance oversight

The OACIQ intends to leverage innovative, secure, and regulated technologies to strengthen oversight and risk management, optimize its information governance, and thereby support informed decision-making and consistent, effective oversight for the benefit of public protection.
