NOTICE OF LICENCE SUSPENSIONAND IMPOSITION OF CONDITIONS
AND RESTRICTIONS ON A LICENCE
NOTICE is hereby given that Mario Fecteau, real estate broker, licence No. B1519, whose establishment was located in Montreal, has been found guilty by the OACIQ Discipline Committee of the offences summarized below:
Count 1: Between 2003 and 2008, in the course of his duties as an affiliated real estate agent, he illegally appropriated sums of money equal to the amount of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the Quebec Sales Tax (QST) by:
a) Providing to his broker documents containing false numbers for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the Quebec Sales Tax (TVQ);
b) Not remitting the sums collected for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Quebec Sales Tax (QST) to government authorities.
Following the dismissal of the appeal on August 17, 2015, the decision of the Discipline Committee ordering the suspension of Mario Fecteau’s licence No. B1519 for a period of 36 months, and the imposition of conditions and restrictions to be supervised for a period of 12 months by a certified real estate broker with at least 10 years of experience, the said supervisor must report to the syndic's office every three months, effective whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
