NOTICE OF SUSPENSION
OF MR. Claude Harry Jean’S LICENCE

NOTICE is hereby given that Mr. Claude Harry Jean, former real estate broker (licence no. C8919), whose establishment is located in Chambly, has been found guilty by the Discipline Committee of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) of the offence summarized below:

1st count: Between on or around August 7, 2008, and on or around August 27, 2008, on the occasion of the steps taken to obtain a financing for the acquisition of an immovable, having sent or having someone send information or documents regarding a borrower he knew or should have known to be false to:

a) an affiliated real estate agent;
b) a bank;

thus committing, on each of these occasions, an offence under section 13of the Rules of Professional Ethics of the ACAIQ.

On April 16, 2013, concerning case 500-80-022534-128, the Court of Québec allowed in part the appeal of a decision on sanction rendered by the Discipline Committee on May 10, 2012, and ordered a suspension of Mr.Claude Harry Jean's real estate broker’s licence for a period of six (6) months on count no.1 a) and b) of the complaint if the defendant is the holder of a licence issued by the OACIQ or whenever he becomes a licence holder again. 

Given that Mr. Claude Harry Jeanis not a licence holder, his licence will be suspended for a period of six (6) months whenever he becomes a licence holder again.

This notice is given in accordance with section 98.1 of the Real Estate Brokerage Act (R.S.Q., c. C-73.2) and section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
