NOTICE OF SUSPENSION OF
MR. RENÉ BLANCHET’S LICENCE
NOTICE is hereby given that René Blanchet, former real estate broker (Licence No. D0348), whose establishment was located in Lévis, has notably been found guilty by the Discipline Committee of the offences summarized below:
1st count: While he was receiving employment insurance benefits:
a) On or about July 4, 2011 and on or around June 23, 2011, failed and/or neglected to inform Service Canada representative that he had sold, as real estate broker, two immovables and that he was awaiting the payment of remuneration related thereto;
c) On or about October 20, 2011, failed and/or neglected to inform Service Canada representative that he had obtained the payment of an amount of money from the sale of an immovable;
committing, on each of these occasions, an offence under section 62 of the Regulation respecting brokerage requirements, professional conduct of brokers and advertising.
On August 7, 2014, the Discipline Committee ordered the suspension of René Blanchet’s real estate broker’s licence (Licence No. D0348) for a period of thirty (30) days on each of the counts Nos. 1a) and 1c) of the formal complaint, to be served concurrently with each other.
Given that René Blanchet is no longer a licence holder, his licence will be suspended for a period of thirty (30) days whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
