NOTICE OF A LICENCE SUSPENSION

NOTICE is hereby given that Thérèse Riendeau, real estate broker, licence No. B3510, whose establishment is located in St-Sauveur, has been found guilty by the OACIQ Discipline Committee of the offences summarized below:

Count 1: During August 2012, while she was solicited by a client to assess the market value of an immovable, borrowed from this client amounts of money or requested the payment of her personal bills and neglected or failed to refund him:

a) on or around March 26, 2013, for an amount of $11,000;

b) on or around March 27, 2013, for an amount of $1,500;

c) on March 28, 2013, for an amount of $10,000;

d) on April 16, 2013, for an amount of $1,528.22.

On July 24, 2018, the Court of Québec confirmed the decision of the Discipline Committee that ordered the suspension of Mrs Thérèse Riendeau’s licence No. B3510 for a period of 5 years, effective August 6, 2018.

This notice is given in accordance withsection 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences(R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
