NOTICE OF SUSPENSION OF
FRANCIS MARTIN’S LICENCE (G2414)

Be advised that on July 17, 2020, the OACIQ Discipline Committee ordered that the real estate broker licence of Mr. Francis Martin, whose establishment is located in Candiac, be suspended from August 20 to October 18, 2020, for committing the following offences:
Counts 3a, 3b and 3c: On three occasions, concerning an immovable, did not avoid placing himself in a conflict of interest. On or around February 12, 2017, by having the sellers sign a document stating, in particular, that they waived any request for a visit, while he knew or could not be unaware that a prospective buyer was interested in visiting the said immovable. On or around February 13, 2017, by using strategic information obtained in the course of the performance of his brokerage contract to lead sellers to believe that the purchase price of $200,000 offered by his spouse was an acceptable price. And on or around March 15, 2017, following the purchase by his spouse, by scheduling a visit to said immovable with a prospective buyer for March 16 and telling him that the selling price was around $260,000.
Count 5: As of March 2017, concerning an immovable, failed to submit the notice of disclosure, the promise to purchase and all related documents to the real estate agency for which he is acting.
