The OACIQ is pursuing its initiatives to protect vulnerable people or those with specific needs
In line with its public protection mission, the OACIQ has implemented several initiatives to protect vulnerable people in real estate transactions.
Two podcasts produced by the OACIQ, available on Ohdio, complement these initiatives. The first podcast bring together experts to discuss best practices in vulnerable contexts, while the second, aimed at close relatives, addresses the signs of suspicious transactions.
- Episode (FRENCH ONLY) : Le rôle du courtier immobilier pour protéger un client vulnérable
- Episode (FRENCH ONLY) : Prévenir les risques immobiliers pour une personne vulnérable
The OACIQ's concrete initiatives for real estate brokers include content to raise awareness of the risks of conflicts of interest and signs of abuse, as well as mandatory training activities.
The aim of these tools is to inform the public about the workings of real estate transactions and the protections provided by the Act, while helping brokers fulfil their key role in protecting clients.
