Nadine Lindsay, OACIQ President and Chief Executive Officer

Nadine Lindsay has been the President and CEO of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) since May 2016.

Ms. Lindsay served as Vice-President, Legal Affairs, and Corporate Secretary of Desjardins General Insurance Group and its subsidiaries from 2013 to 2016, as well as Vice-President, Compliance, at Standard Life of Canada from 2001 to 2013. Previously, Ms. Lindsay was Senior Director, Legal Affairs and Compliance, at Courvie-Dubeau Financial Corporation, before becoming a Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Legal Counsel.

Ms. Lindsay is recognized as a businesswoman with inspiring and innovative leadership. In 2023, she successfully implemented artificial intelligence (AI) in various operations, including the creation of a virtual conversational agent, making the OACIQ the first Canadian regulator to use AI. She was also the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Regulators of Canada, a member of the Governance Committee of the Canada Green Building Council – Quebec Section, and a member of the Market Regulation Committee of the Insurance Bureau of Canada. From 2010 to 2014, she was the Chair of the Governance, Regulatory Compliance and Ethics Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Division, where she contributed to enhancing the understanding of regulatory risk management.

She holds a law degree from Laval University and is a member of the Quebec Bar and the Canadian Bar Association. She has also completed an executive leadership program under the guidance of Henry Mintzberg, offered jointly by the McGill University International Executive Institute and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in the United States. Ms. Lindsay holds the Certified Corporate Director designation from Laval University and is an accredited mediator of the Quebec Bar.
