Louis Beauchamp | OACIQ Vice-President of Communications
Louis Beauchamp officially joined the Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) in April 2023 as Vice-President of Communications. He has almost 40 years of experience in communications and journalism.
Since joining the OACIQ, Louis has significantly contributed to raising consumer awareness of the organization's mission to protect the public– particularly through more powerful communication campaigns and a greater media presence. Louis is also responsible for stakeholder relations.
Throughout his career, he held senior management roles, including serving as Director of the Communications Department at the City of Montreal (2014–2018) and as Senior Director of Public Affairs and Communications at the Autorité des marchés financiers (2009–2014). This experience allowed him to develop deep expertise in navigating complex environments and issues.
From 2001 to 2009, Louis worked for NATIONAL Public Relations Firm as Director of Spokesperson Training and Senior Advisor, Public Affairs. He provided advice to hundreds of senior executives on issues and crisis management.
Previously, Louis worked as a journalist for almost fifteen years, mainly at TVA Group, from 1989 to 2000.

Nadine Lindsay | President and Chief Executive Officer of the OACIQ
The President and CEO of the OACIQ will present the theme of RDV 2025 and provide an overview of recent initiatives and achievements aimed at improving public protection and strengthening the professionalism of real estate brokers.
Nadine Lindsay has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) since 2016. A lawyer by training, she holds a law degree from Laval University and is a member of the Barreau du Québec. She has also completed an executive leadership program led by Henry Mintzberg and holds a corporate director certification.
Before joining the OACIQ, she held management roles at Desjardins General Insurance Group, Standard Life of Canada, and Courvie-Dubeau, where she worked in legal affairs, compliance, and governance. She has also worked as a commercial real estate brokerage legal counsel.
Recognized for her innovative leadership, she introduced artificial intelligence to the OACIQ in 2023, making it the first Canadian regulator to implement a virtual conversational agent.
She has served on several boards and committees, including the Real Estate Regulators of Canada, the Canada Green Building Council (Quebec Section) and the Insurance Bureau of Canada. She also chaired the Governance and Compliance Section of the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Division.

Jean-François Bertholet has been teaching at HEC Montréal for over 10 years. He is also a human resources consultant, speaker, and author. He has developed expertise in leadership development and employee engagement.
In addition to teaching, he has spent several years working in Canada and internationally with organizations seeking to enhance their staff management practices. His philosophy focuses on delivering training rooted in best practices identified in scientific literature and real-world experience, ensuring participants leave with practical tools they can apply in their work environment.
He regularly comments on HR issues in the public sphere, both on the radio and in print media. He also hosts the Radio-Canada podcast Travailler mieux (Working Better). He has delivered over 8,000 hours of training–both in person and online,–since 2010.

Claudie Tremblay | Executive Vice-President – Corporate Affairs
The real estate brokerage environment is in constant flux, requiring licensees to be highly adaptable. In this conference, the OACIQ will outline current and upcoming legislative changes that are shaping the framework for real estate brokerage in Québec.
Me Claudie Tremblay holds a law degree from Laval University and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1994. She has also been an accredited mediator in civil matters since 2019 and a certified corporate director since 2021.
She first joined the Association des courtiers et agents immobiliers du Québec (ACAIQ) in 1995 as a legal affairs lawyer. From 2001 to 2007, she served as Director and Vice-President of Legal Affairs. During this period, Me Tremblay also served as Assistant Secretary of the Organization and as Secretary of the Real Estate Indemnity Fund. In June 2007, she became Vice-President, Certification and Professional Practices. She was also responsible for professional inspection.
Since January 2015, Me Tremblay has served as Executive Vice-President, Corporate Affairs at the OACIQ. Her current responsibilities include overseeing the Legal Affairs, Litigation, and Training departments, as well as the Fonds d’assurance professionnelle du courtage immobilier du Québec (FARCIQ).
Me Tremblay has had the opportunity to give talks and provide training on legal issues related to real estate.

Originally from Saguenay, Me Miville Tremblay has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1991. After beginning his career in litigation, he has specialized exclusively in dispute prevention and settlement since 2004.
Recognized for his expertise in reasoned negotiation, mediation, collaborative law, conciliation, and participatory justice, he regularly delivers lectures and training courses on these topics and contributes to numerous publications. He primarily practises in Saguenay but offers his services throughout Québec and France.
In 2021, he received two prestigious awards: the title of Emeritus Lawyer (Ad.E.) and the Merit Award of the Outaouais Bar, in recognition of his commitment to advancing the legal profession and participatory justice.

Me Yves Joli-Coeur | Lawyer and partner at Dunton Rainville, founding member of the RGCQ
Learn about the new regulatory measures put in place to improve transparency, encourage preventive property management, and offer better protection to co-owners and potential buyers.
Me Yves Joli-Coeur is one of the pioneers in the field of divided co-ownership law. He has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1983. He advises syndicates and co-owners, and regularly collaborates with the media to raise public awareness about co-ownership issues.
He is a prolific author who has published several reference works, including Le Code de la copropriété divise and Assurance condo: tout ce qu’il faut savoir, among others. He teaches legal management of co-ownership properties at ESG UQAM, delivers customized training courses, and gives talks at international events.
As the founder of Condolegal.com and founding president of the Regroupement des gestionnaires et copropriétaires du Québec, he advocates for the need to oversee co-ownership property managers. Me Joli-Cœur contributed to reforms of the Civil Code of Québec (art. 1069 C.C.Q.) and appeared several times before parliamentary committees regarding Bills 16, 76 and 141.
His commitment and experience make him a leading figure in Québec’s co-ownership law.

Nicolas Rioux | Director, Legal Affairs – OACIQ
By analyzing various recent decisions made by Québec courts, the speaker helps participants recognize pitfalls and thus avoid ethical errors. In particular, he addresses issues related to renewal options, the good faith that parties must demonstrate during negotiations, and abusive clauses that parties may encounter.
Admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1993, Nicolas began his career as a litigation lawyer, primarily in insurance, commercial law, and real estate. In 1999, he joined Ivanhoe Cambridge as Director of Legal Affairs for Eastern Canada, where he focused on transactions and managing a portfolio of commercial buildings and office spaces.
In 2015, he joined Groupe Petra as Senior Director of Legal Affairs, overseeing documentation pertaining to the leasing and management of office and industrial buildings. Since 2019, he has served as Director of Legal Affairs at the OACIQ, where he supervises a team of lawyers responsible for interpreting the Real Estate Brokerage Act, overseeing legal operations, and handling the Organization's contracts. Nicolas also acts as a speaker and panellist for ICSC, the Canadian Institute, and Open Forum.

Me Sandra Barrette has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1998. She started her career at a professional liability law firm before joining the OACIQ in 2003, where she has held various positions within the disciplinary litigation and legal affairs teams. She has been managing the Info OACIQ information centre since 2012. In 2025, she was appointed Director of Info OACIQ and Professional Practices, supervising a multidisciplinary team. She contributes to several initiatives aimed at structuring the real estate brokerage practice, including through training, educational content creation, and podcast participation. She has also been an accredited mediator in civil and commercial matters, as well as labour relations since 2023.

Me Enrico Martin has been a Claims Analyst and a Prevention Advisor at the Fonds d’assurance responsabilité professionnelle du courtage immobilier du Québec (FARCIQ) for over three years. After starting his career as a lawyer in 1999, he transitioned to notary work roughly a decade later.
In 2014, he joined the Fonds d’assurance responsabilité-professionnelle de la Chambre des notaires du Québec (FARPCNQ) as a claims analyst and prevention advisor. This role enabled him to enhance his expertise in professional liability. In this regard, he authored numerous preventive newsletters, delivered over a dozen training sessions, and spoke at notarial professional development courses. In April 2018, he joined the Association professionnelle des notaires du Québec (APNQ) as Director of Operations and Communications, a role that once again led him to offer several training courses to support notaries in their practice.
In addition to his business law practice, Me Martin — passionate about communication and legal education — has provided training to lawyers and notaries in business law and sureties, thereby showcasing his expertise and versatility.

Multi-purpose real estate projects – how can we adapt our practices to different legal structures?
Me Simon L. Lamontagne | Director of Legal Affairs - FTQ
Large sites such as Quartier Molson in Montreal, Espace Montmorency in Laval, and District Union in Terrebonne illustrate a new trend in the housing market: mixed-use projects. In the form of an interview, this conference will address real estate development trends and the advantages of mixed-use projects. We will see how real estate brokers can play an active role in these projects, and we will discuss the legal considerations that need to be taken into account to successfully complete transactions.
Me Simon L. Lamontagne joined the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ in 2016 as Legal Counsel and was promoted to Director of Legal Affairs in 2021. He manages a team of lawyers and paralegals responsible for negotiating strategic partnerships with developers to develop large-scale housing projects in Québec. He also participates in the management of the Fund's corporate governance.
A member of the Barreau du Québec since 2007, Me Lamontagne has worked for eight years in a private firm specializing in business law, with a particular focus on commercial real estate law. He began his career at Mercier Leduc, LLP, where he acquired solid expertise in transactional law and commercial leases. He then joined Lavery, de Billy, LLP, where he participated in major transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as real estate purchases and sales.
His career path has enabled him to acquire in-depth knowledge of real estate transaction law, which he leverages to assist clients and partners in carrying out structural projects.
The Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ works with industry leaders to develop projects totalling $4.1 billion in value, including 26 projects in progress, 84 operating assets, 6,412 residential rental units, and 5 million square feet of industrial land to be developed.

This conference will provide you with effective influencing techniques to manage dysfunctional behaviour in individuals with difficult personalities. More specifically, it will address the delicate issue of behavioural management of narcissistic personalities.
Gérard Ouimet holds two PhDs—one in Psychology and one in Political Science from the University of Montreal. His areas of specialization include organizational psychopathology and the psychology of power.
He has taught at the university for over 40 years. Author of several scientific articles published in international journals, Gérard Ouimet has delivered more than 4,000 scientific and professional talks over the course of his teaching career.

His pursuit of the extreme has brought him close to death several times, including in a Taliban attack that claimed the lives of 10 of his friends, an experience he recounts in his best-seller “Instinct de survie”.

The challenges faced in the mountains are not unlike those encountered by organizations on a daily basis. Gabriel Filippi knows this firsthand, since in addition to being an exceptional athlete, he has been an ambassador for several major brands, an air traffic controller, and the owner of an adventure travel agency.

Richard Boivin | Chairman of the OACIQ Board of Directors
Mr. Richard Boivin has extensive experience in the financial industry, in both the private and public sectors. He has been a member of the Barreau since 1973. He also holds a degree in administration. He held various management positions in life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, mutual funds, and securities. He also worked in various organizations, such as the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec and the Inspecteur général des institutions financières (referred to today as the Autorité des marchés financiers).
Me Boivin left the Ministère des Finances du Québec in December 2018 after nearly 14 years as Assistant Deputy Minister, Policies Pertaining to Financial Institutions and Corporate Legislation. In this capacity, he was responsible for drafting Bill 141, which thoroughly reviewed all the laws governing the financial sector in Québec.
