NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND IMPOSITION
OF RESTRICTIONS ON LICENCE

Please be advised that on June 4, 2026, the Discipline Committee ordered that the real estate broker licence of Mr. Robert Giroux, whose establishment was located in Piedmont, be suspended for a period of 150 days, effective when he again becomes the holder of a licence, for having committed the following offences:
Count 1: Failed to remit, in whole or in part, the amounts collected as Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Quebec Sales Tax (QST) to the appropriate government authorities for the following periods: a) January 1 to December 31, 2017; b) January 1 to December 31, 2018, c) January 1 to December 31, 2019, d) January 1 to December 31, 2020, e) January 1 to December 31, 2021, f) January 1 to March 31, 2022.
Count 2: On or about August 23, 2023, obstructed the investigation conducted by the Syndic’s Office by failing or neglecting to provide the requested documents and information regarding amounts collected as Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Quebec Sales Tax (QST).
In addition, the Discipline Committee imposed the following restrictions on Mr. Giroux’s licence, which will take effect when he again becomes the holder of a licence:
A permanent prohibition from personally collecting and administering any taxes related to the sale or leasing of real property;
A permanent prohibition from being designated as an agency executive officer;
A permanent prohibition from carrying on activities on his own account.
