NOTICE OF SUSPENSION
OF MR. GUY CYR’S LICENCE

NOTICE is hereby given that Mr. Guy Cyr, former real estate broker (licence no. C4291), whose establishment is located in Lasalle, has notably been found guilty by the Discipline Committee of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) of the offences summarized below:
1st count: Between the years 2004 and 2007, in the course of steps taken to obtain a financing for the acquisition of the immovables listed below, sent or had someone send to financial institutions false documents or information, whereas he did not obtain these documents or this information from the buyers concerned or neglected to have their legitimacy confirmed by the buyers:
a) acquisition of an immovable by D. A.;
b) acquisition of an immovable by H. H.01;
c) acquisition of an immovable by W. H.;
d) acquisition of an immovable by J. D. R.;
e) acquisition of an immovable by P. O.;
f) acquisition of an immovable by H. H.;
committing, on each of these occasions, an offence under section 11 of the Rules of Professional Ethics of the ACAIQ.
On February 20, 2013, the Discipline Committee ordered a suspension of Mr. Guy Cyr's real estate broker’s licence (C4291) for a period of ninety (90) days on each of the counts no. 1a) to 1f) of the formal complaint, to be served consecutively as of the expiry of the appeals deadline if the defendant is the holder of a licence issued by the OACIQ or, if not, whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
Given that Mr. Guy Cyr is no longer a licence holder, his licence will be suspended for a period of five hundred forty (540) days whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
This notice is given in accordance with section 98.1 of the Real Estate Brokerage Act (R.S.Q., c. C-73.2) and section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., C-73-2, r-3).
