NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND IMPOSITION OF CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS ON ALESSANDRO MONTEFERRANTE’S LICENCE (E6573)

Be advised that on July 26, 2021, the OACIQ Discipline Committee ordered that the real estate broker licence of Mr. Alessandro Monteferrante, whose establishment was located in Montreal, be suspended for a period of 135 days whenever he becomes a licence holder again for committing the following offences:

Count 1: In Montreal, while acting as agency executive officer of Groupe Immobilier International Inc. made or allowed someone to make false statements (a) on or around October 4, 2016, in the 2015 self-inspection questionnaire regarding the agency's record keeping and (b) on or around February 7, 2017, to the inspector regarding the agency's record keeping.

Count 2: In Montreal, on or about February 1, 2018, while acting as agency executive officer of Groupe Immobilier International Inc. closed the said agency while it owed sums of money as Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Quebec Sales Tax (QST) to government authorities concerned.

Count 4: In Montreal, as of or about September 11, 2018, failed to cooperate with the investigation conducted by the Assistant Syndic, including neglecting or refusing to provide requested documents and information related to amounts owed as Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Quebec Sales Tax (QST) to government authorities concerned.

In addition, the Discipline Committee also imposed the following condition and restrictions on Mr. Monteferrante's licence for a period of 5 years whenever he becomes a licence holder again, as of the expiry of the suspension periods imposed:

Prohibition from being designated as agency executive officer or from representing a firm;
Prohibition from signing any document relating to the management of a trust account related to his practice;
Obligation to be supervised by a certified real estate broker with at least ten (10) years of experience.
