Appointment at the OACIQ

The OACIQ is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Champagne as Vice-President, Enforcement of Practices. In this position, she will be assuming the responsibility of the following four departments: the Office of the Syndic, Litigation, Public Assistance and Inspection.

Me Champagne has been a member of the Barreau du Québec for more than 20 years and holds an Executive MBA in Finance, as well as an Executive MBA from Paris-Dauphine University. She has extensive professional experience with self-regulatory organizations in the financial sector, including as a manager and a member of the executive. She was Chair of the Board of Discipline at the Bureau des présidents des conseils de discipline des ordres professionnels du Québec, Syndic at the Chambre de la sécurité financière, and Litigation Lawyer in disciplinary law at the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada. Her expertise in the areas of compliance, ethics and professional conduct and her in-depth knowledge of civil, penal and disciplinary investigations and disputes will be an asset for the OACIQ.

Me Champagne is known for her dynamism, efficiency, rigour, critical thinking and her political and strategic sense.

As Vice-President, Me Champagne will play a key role in strengthening the supervision of real estate brokerage, thus enabling the OACIQ to be even better equipped to continue carrying out its strategic plan and its mission.
