LICENCE ISSUANCE - REAL ESTATE BROKER

You passed an OACIQ certification exam?
You have 12 months from the date your results were sent to you to apply for a real estate broker licence.

Are you a former OACIQ licence holder and your licence has been revoked for not paying the annual fees no later than April 30? You have 12 months following the revocation date to apply for a licence without having to complete a recognized basic training program and successfully taking an OACIQ certification examination.

You chose to stop carrying out brokerage activities for a while and maintained your acquired rights annually?
If your licence was revoked more than 12 months ago, you must complete a recognized basic training program and successfully take an OACIQ certification examination before you can apply for a licence. 

Applicable fees
The total amount of applicable fees for the issuance of a real estate broker licence varies depending on the month in which you wish to start or resume your practice. You must add the subscription fees to InstanetFormsTM electronic forms to the the rates listed below if you wish. InstanetForms fees are detailed here and vary depending on the month in which you wish to start or resume your practice.

For example: if you want a licence to be issued to you to start your practice in September, you will pay $1,461.00 taxes included. You will add an amount of $45.99 taxes included if you want to subscribe to InstanetForms electronic forms, for a grand total of $1,506.99 taxes included. Your licence will be valid from the date of issue until April 30. Like all licence holders, you will then have to renew your licence by April 30 every year. The amount payable at that time will cover an entire year.

Has your agency licence been revoked following, for example, the non-payment of the annual licence maintenance fees on April 30? You have 12 months following the revocation date to apply for a licence.

Applicable fees
The total amount of applicable fees varies depending on the month in which you wish to start or resume your practice.

For example: if you want a licence to be issued to you to start your practice in September, you will pay $1,316.14. Your licence will be valid from the date of issue until April 30. You will then have to renew your agency licence by April 30 every year. The amount payable at that time will cover an entire year.

ACQUIRED RIGHTS

These rates apply to brokers whose licence is currently revoked and who wish to maintain their acquired rights. The total to be paid varies depending on the month in which the application is submitted.

Attention! If you wish to return to the practice, you must first meet the requirements of the Mandatory Continuing Education Program. You will then have to pay the fees indicated in the section above entitled Licence issuance - real estate broker.

LIFTING OF LICENCE SUSPENSION

All rates below include taxes.

Suspension lifting - Licence holder failing to comply with his/her obligations towards the OACIQ (e.g. failure to update information, failure to complete the Mandatory Continuing Education Program, failure to respect the time frame for changing a photo or a commitment): $344.93

Lifting of administrative suspension: $172.46

Suspension lifting - agency: In addition to paying the above fees, you must submit a Request for lifting of licence suspension for all agency brokers and pay related fees. See below the amount to be paid according to the number of licences to be reactivated:

● Lifting of licence suspension: agency with 1 to 5 brokers: $172.46 per broker
● Lifting of licence suspension: agency with 6 to 10 brokers: fixed rate of $1,034.78
● Lifting of licence suspension: agency with 11 brokers and more: fixed rate of $1,897.09

PHOTO CHANGE

All rates below include taxes.

● Electronic photo change: $43.69
● Change of paper photo: $85.08

Note: In accordance with the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences, your photo is valid for five years, since the last time you sent it to the Organization. Your photo change will not result in any fees if it is done within 12 months prior to the expiry of the 5-year period. Outside this period, especially if you change it too early, the above fees will apply.
